James R. Jones

James R. “Jimmy” Jones, age 82, of Gautier passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020. He was a lifelong resident of Gautier and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1955.  Jimmy was a United States Navy Veteran and Electrician.  He was a member of IBEW Local 903 in Gulfport and First Baptist Church in Gautier.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel Rouse Jones and Joel E. Jones; three brothers, Joel, Jeff, and Bob Jones; sister, sisters, Janice Jones Green and infant sister, Brenda Jones.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet Neal Jones, Gautier; daughter, Jowanna Lee (Dale), Prairieville, LA; two grandchildren, Joshua Dale Lee and Charity Shay Lee, both of Prairieville, LA; two brothers, John R. Jones, Ocean Springs; Jerry Jones, Grand  Bay; two sisters, Jeannie Lee and JoAnn Griffin, both of Gautier; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and great friends.

Due to the regulations and restrictions of gathering, the family will be having a private Graveside Service on Thursday, May 14, 2020, 11:00am, at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gautier with Rev. David Aultman officiating.
