James Richard Massengill

James Richard Massingill passed away on October 8, 2025 in Biloxi, MS at the age of 75.

James was born on October 13, 1949 in Pritchard, AL to Ollie and Rosie Massingill.  He worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding and M & Z Tire Shop. He loved to fish and watch old movies one of his favorite characters was Gomer Pile. He was of the Baptist Faith. He will be missed greatly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Butch Massingill.

James is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elaine Massingill of Gautier, MS; a sister, Mary Jones; four step-children, Louis McGowen, Mary Ann McGowen, April McGowen and Willie McGowen; 25 step grandchildren and other family members and friends.

The family will have private memorial for him at a later date.
