James "J.C." Clint Edwards Jr.

James “J.C.” Clint Edwards Jr. passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 in Mobile, AL

JC as he was called, was born the baby of the family on March 29, 1942 in Philadelphia, MS to James Clint Edwards Sr. and Mittie Angels Edwards. He was a longtime member of Twin Pines Apostolic Church in Moss Point, MS.  People were his business, he loved them, he never met a stranger and always had a smile to share.  He enjoyed sharing the many stories growing up in a share-croppers home and working the fields. He found humor, in even the worst of times, he lived the scripture the joy of the Lord is my strength. He always put others first. This kindhearted loving husband, father and friend will be missed greatly. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Edwards, James Willie Edwards, Wardean Nevels and Rebecca Barnes.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Edwards of Lucedale, MS; children, Ricky Edwards (Kayla) of Vicksburg, Patricia Moore (Charlie) of Lucedale, MS and James Edwards III (Frances) of Lucedale, MS; grandchildren, Kristopher Collins, Harley Ann Edwards, Kristin Collins, Charlie James Moore Jr. and Carly Baker;  six great grandchildren.

Serving as pall bearers will be Ricky Edwards, James Edwards, Andrew Edwards, Kristopher Collins, Nathan Parks, and Nalin Parks; honorary Charlie Moore Sr, Raymond Edwards, and Charlie Moore Jr and the brethren of Twin Pines Apostolic Church.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Twin Pines Apostolic Church in Moss Point, MS from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 11am at the church.
