James “Jim” Anderson Fraiser, Jr., age 76, of Gautier passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born January 27, 1945 in Jackson, Mississippi and has been a resident of Jackson County for over 50 years. Jim graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. In 2019, Jim retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as a Facilities Chief Civil Engineer after 51 years of work he loved. Jim was an active member of Gautier Men’s Club.
Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in all types of social events. He never met a stranger and knew a little bit about everything. He enjoyed boating, fishing, being a problem solver for others, fixing projects, and was the “Go-To- Person” for advice or answers.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years who passed on June 4, 2000, Linda Kay Patton Fraiser. Jim is survived by his daughter and son, Catherine Anne “Cae” Fraiser and James Anderson “Jay” Fraiser, III, his wife Mellissa and a granddaughter, Abigail Fraiser, all of Gautier; two brothers and one sister, John Fraiser (Joann), Joe Fraiser (Kay), all of Brandon, MS; sister, Susan Crell (Jim), Madison, MS; numerous other relatives and lots of devoted friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021, 6:00-8:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 29, 2021, 10:00am, at the Funeral Home in Pascagoula. His Funeral Service on Saturday will be livestreamed on the funeral home’s facebook page. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs, Ms. Pallbearers will be Seth Robbins, Douglas Fontaine, Kris Gaylord, Aubrey Rushing, Kell Robbins, and Skip Robbins.
