It is with a heavy heart that I share that my husband, Jim Alfred DeLoach, passed away on March 27, 2026.
Jim was a proud Iraqi Freedom veteran, a man who loved fishing, and someone who found his greatest joy in being “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren—Ember, Shelby, Lexi, and Rylan. They were his whole world.
He was strong, loyal, and loved his family deeply. Jim knew God, was saved, and that gives me peace knowing he is now at rest and reunited with his parents.
From his daughter Courtney: He taught me how to fish and he taught me a lot about life and taking it slow. Sometimes the fish would bite and sometimes it was just about the quiet.
He leaves behind so many who love him—his wife, Susan; his daughters, Courtney, Candice, and Samantha; his son, Curtis; his grandchildren; his sisters, Lisa, Teresa, and Melinda; his aunt, Debra; Nephews Ryan Davis and timothy Brown and his beloved dogs, Chyna, Ruby, and Nyx.
A brief military service will be held at the Biloxi National Cemetery Pavilion on April 7 at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Please keep our family in your prayers as we try to navigate this loss. He will always be loved and never forgotten.
