Mr. Joe M. Webb age 95 of Pascagoula, MS passed away quietly at his home. Born May 4, 1924 in Shreveport, LA to the late Joseph Stackhouse Webb and Pearl Edith Webb, he had been a resident of Pascagoula since 1957. Mr. Joe entered the U.S. Army following graduation and served with the 507th Engineer Battalion as a Staff Sargent. Mr. Joe was part of the allied invasion or D-Day June 6, 1944, coming ashore on Omaha Beach at Normandy, France. He never spoke publicly of the heroism or the valor with which he and his comrades served. Mr. Joe like so many of his generation, was a patriot and a true American Hero. After his service, he returned home and married the love of his life Ms. Kathryn Childress on June 11, 1954 in Shreveport. Mr. Joe went to work for Ingall’s Shipbuilding where retired in 1980 following 25 years. Following retirement, he opened Webb and Son Machine Shop. He and Ms. Kathryn were longtime, faithful members of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Among those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 65 years, Kathryn C. Webb of Pascagoula, MS; one son Curtis Webb of Pascagoula, MS, one daughter Jenness Webb Hunter and her husband James "Jim" Hunter, of Pensacola, FL; and grandchildren Jordan Hunter, Marshall Webb, Kinsey Hunter, and Lanae Webb.

Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery with U.S. Army Honors. Arrangements are under the directions of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home of Pascagoula.
