John Wayne Bishop passed away on May 2, 2023 at the age of 59.
John Wayne was born on December 1, 1963 to James and Coyita Bishop in Orlando, Florida. He sustained a life altering injury as a teenager but it didn’t affect his ability to make you like or the kind-hearted person he was. He enjoyed fishing and in recent years, gaming-playing Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto 5 and waiting on #6 to be released.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Stephen Bishop. He is survived by a brother, Bruce Edward Bishop; two sisters, Deborah Martin Gould and her husband John and Juanita Marie Prins; special friend, Janet Dunnam Williamson and her children, Kimberly Helen Williamson and Allen Neil Dunnam.
A memorial gathering honoring John Wayne and sharing stories will be held, Friday, May 19, 2023 at 18125 Hwy 26 W. Lot 11 in Lucedale, MS.
