John Raymond Fagan, Jr.

Captain John Raymond Fagan,  Jr. passed away at his home on Sunday March 29, 2020 at the age 48.

John was born June 20, 1971 in Pascagoula, MS to Paulette and John Raymond Fagan Sr.  He was a Pascagoula High School “Class of 89” graduate.  He met and married Andrea Fulkerson on August 6, 1994.  In 1991 he began working for Colle Towing. Charlie and Mr. Johnny gave him an opportunity to advance to   Boat Captain.  As with most things he pushed the limits this put him in a position to assist in the blowing up of a ship for National Geographic, assisting in the cleanup of the waters he loved during BP Oil Spill, as well as several monumental and world record feats. His hobbies consisted of all things with wheels and motors he loved repairing and mending things for his family and friends.  He knew no strangers, he loved people and cared deeply for them especially his family. He fought valiantly to be able to attend his son’s graduation and to overcome sickness. Although, this was not to be we have comfort knowing he left us peacefully in his sleep.  He fought the fight, and kept the faith, today he is whole in body and spirit. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, John “Ray” Fagan Sr.; grandparents, Henry Morgan Hill, Henry F. and Irma Fagan.

He is survived by his wife Andrea Fagan; children, Ashney Fagan Landers (Hadyn) and Clayton Fagan; mother, Paulette Fagan; in-laws, Bernard Fulkerson and Debbie Witchen Fulkerson; brother, Adam Fagan (Carole Anne) all of Pascagoula ; sisters-in-law, Tina Branch (Travis) of Daphne, AL and Jessie Fulkerson of Hurley, MS, niece and nephews, Ve’da and Austin Fagan, Christian Braden, Hagan and Zackery Branch and Michael “Jiggs” Fulkerson; and numerous aunts,  uncles, and cousins.

 There will be a visitation from 10am -12noon on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home.  To adhere to the restrictions due to the pandemic there will be a limit of 50 people at any given time allowed in the building. The private family funeral will follow but can be viewed on O’Bryant-O’Keefe’s Facebook Page Live at 12 Noon.  The funeral will also be available on our website Wednesday afternoon under John’s obituary and Video Tribute.
