John “Bud” H. Waddell, age 85, of Pascagoula passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025. He was born December 26, 1939 in Sylvarena, Mississippi and has been a resident of Pascagoula for over 50 years. He was employed with Ingalls Shipbuilding from 1967 until 2001 as an Engineer. He was a member of Ingalls Avenue Baptist Church in Pascagoula and the Magnolia Cruisers Car Club. John was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and spend time attending their special activities. John was proud of his Victorian Home and loved antique cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clayton Waddell and Nola Mae Hammons Waddell; brother, Hiram C. Waddell.
John will be survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Pamela Smith Waddell, Pascagoula; daughter, Angela Waddell Falks (Wiley “Turkey” L. Falks, III), Hurley; son, John Thomas Waddell, Pascagoula; former daughter-in-law, Senicka Waddell, Pascagoula; sister, Barbara Rose Knight, Hickory, MS; grandchildren, Wiley L. Falks IV (Kaitlin), Wyatt L. Falks (Madie), West L. Falks, Madeline Waddell, Thomas Luke Waddell, and Dylan Waddell; great grandchildren, Wiley L. Falks V, great grandson- Cooper Falks (expected in July 2025), Myles Falks and Wells Falks; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 27, 2025, 2:00-3:00pm at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Procession will leave the funeral home at 3:00pm for Graveside Service at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point, MS.
Pallbearers will be Wiley Falks IV, Wyatt Falks, West Falks, Thomas Luke Waddell, Dylan Waddell and J.R. Waddell.
