June Marie Martin Ricks

June Marie Ricks passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at the age of 89.

June was born on May 11, 1934 to George and Meadie Martin in Pascagoula, MS. She was a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church.  June worked several jobs over the years including a clerk at Singing River Hospital for 20 years, but her greatest and most important was that of a wife and mother. Not just a homemaker she made a home for her children and husband to thrive. It comes as no surprise for her to join her beloved Charles just 60 days after his death.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Charles Martin Ricks Sr.: a son, Richard Ricks; grandson, Lee Waldrep and son-in-law, Robert Waldrep; siblings James Martin and George E. Martin Jr “Bubba”

She is survived by   six children, Elizabeth “Liz” Elford (Jack) of Pascagoula, MS., Charles Martin Ricks Jr. (Pam) of Pascagoula, MS, Tammie Waldrep of Jacksonville, FL, James Brian Ricks of Pascagoula, MS, Teresa Ricks of Pascagoula, MS and Keith Allen Ricks of Macungie, PA; two siblings, Louise Peden and Rory Martin ; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
