Larry Summerlin

Larry C. Summerlin, age 78, of Hurley, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.  He was born February 14,1946 in Pascagoula and was a proud US Navy Veteran.

He was employed for over 35 years at Ingall Shipbuilding as a General Ship Superintendent.  He enjoyed working on his old cars and loved attending car shows and swap meets.  If it had a motor, then he could fix it.   He loved western and war movies especially one of his favorites, Lonesome Dove.  He was a long time Dixie Youth Baseball coach and loved all the kids he had a chance to coach.

Larry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Willie Mae Summerlin and John William Summerlin; grandson, Coleman Brezeale.

He is survived by his two sons and one daughter, L. Craig Summerlin (Holly), Pascagoula; Scott Summerlin, Big Level, MS; and Laura Breazeale, Pascagoula; seven grandchildren, Lane Breazeale, Bond Breazeale, Camron Summerlin, Ryan Summerlin, Vivian Summerlin, Georgia Summerlin, Graham Summerlin; mother of his children, Becky Summerlin; two brothers, Jerry Summerlin and John Summerlin (Carol Ann); sister, Brenda Smith; his companion, Beth Skjoldager.

The family will be having a private memorial service.  You may send memorials in his memory to the local V.F.W Post 3733, 4724 Lt Eugene  Majure Dr Pascagoula, MS 39581.
