Lester Douglas Creswell of Gautier, MS passed away, Friday October 18, 2024 in Ocean Springs Hospital.
Lester was born in Shaw, MS on March 25, 1946. He served in the United States Army and was a Jack of All Trades, there was not much he couldn’t make. He worked as a machinist in a bakery for 32 years and he was a master at making biscuits. Lester lived in the era of time of westerns and real country music. A time when life was simple, and loyalty to country and family was the standard. He was a gem and will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Flowers E. Creswell’ mother and stepfather. Annie Ruth Creswell Martin and Donald J. Martin; three brothers, Darryl Creswell, Eugene Creswell and Daniel Creswell; stepdaughter, Lisa Bruner and grandson, Donald Hemker.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Margaret Ann Creswell; children, Timmy Lawson and Sunshine Jenkins; step-daughters, Tammie Allen (Brad) and Angela Shackleford (Kevin); a sister Donna Shepherd (David) and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside Service with military honors will be Friday, October 25 at Biloxi National Cemetery at 10 AM.
