Margaret Harris

Margaret Harris was born in Lucedale, MS on October 11, 1930 and passed away on January 12, 2024 at Singing River Hospital with her family by her side.

She lived most of her adult life in Pascagoula, MS with her husband of 48 years before his passing on August 16, 1995.   Margaret was a volunteer with Singing River Hospital Auxiliary for many years and enjoyed every minute .spent serving others. She enjoyed the fellowship of friends and family at the monthly Cravings Lunches, Red Hatter Lunches and Senior Citizens Lunches, she was a people person. She received great joy in crocheting for those she loved. Being a proud grandmother, she doted on each one  of her grandchildren making sure they all felt special and  she had  the unique ability in making them all feel like they were her favorite,

She is preceded in death by her mother & father, Lanny & Elsie Parnell; husband of 48 years, James C.(Bunchie) Harris; son, James Michael Harris; brothers, Juston Parnell, Athan (Rose) Parnell & Don Parnell; sister-in-law, Barbara Parnell; and niece, Kimberly Parnell.

She is survived by, sister, Sue (Mac) McGuire; brother, John Parnell; sister-in-laws, Tootsie Parnell and Louise Parnell; daughter, Patsy (David) Bosarge; son, Gene (Wynona) Harris; son, Mark (Alta) Harris; son, Phil (Cyndi) Harris; 8 grandchildren;23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces & nephews.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Central Church of Christ at 1316 Ingalls Ave, Pascagoula, MS at 11:30am with visitation one hour prior to service.  Private Inurnment will take place at a later date.  Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
