Marian Hester Trigg passed away at her home of fifty years in Gautier, MS on Thursday,
February 20, 2025.
Marian was born to Leo Marion and Elizabeth Fontaine Hester on July 12, 1944, in Meridian,
MS. Marian (MaiMai) was a kind, gentle, intelligent, altruistic, humble woman filled with
elegance and class. She was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and
aunt. MaiMai’s legacy will continue through them.
As a member of the Gautier United Methodist Church for the past 55 years, Marian was active
in the food pantry, bible study, and numerous other church committees. She was also the
organist for many years. She retired after 40+ years at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a computer
programmer, taking a few years off to spend with her children and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her best friend and husband, Don
LaRoy Trigg who passed away in January of 2022 and her beloved brother, Jon Hester.
Don and Marian enjoyed their retired years traveling the world. Marian always said she was happiest
when she returned to share her travels with pictures and handpicked souvenirs for her family.
She is survived by two children, Donna Trigg Worsham of Gautier, MS; Troy Alan Trigg and his
wife Lindsay; grandchildren, Bailey, Samuel, CassieBeth; and one great-grandchild Leo Greyson
Trigg all of Austin, TX; brother, David Hester and his wife Helen of Billings, Montana.
MaiMai also had a cat named Goosey who was her close companion and caretaker in most recent years.
Marian had a close-knit church family and friends who were there for each other through good
and bad times. She also loved her time with her fellow fitness friends at the Singing River
Healthplex. Marian stopped driving in the last few months and was embraced by many in the
community with so much support driving her to her appointments and fitness classes which she
was so grateful for their love and kindness.
Memorial Service celebrating her life will be Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Gautier United
Methodist Church with a visitation at 1:00 and the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
