Marie Frances McNemar

Marie McNemar of Gautier, MS passed away at her home on Friday, April 1, 2022.

Marie was born on June 25, 1934 in Salem, New Hampshire, the last of five children, of Joseph and Albina Nolet. She worked at McRaes Department Store for 10 years and a Hospice of Light Volunteer for over 20 years. She was also a parishioner of St Mary’s Catholic Church for the past 38 years, where she was a member of the choir, a lector and a Sunday School Teacher.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Gardella, Evelyn Pelletier, Pauline Frederick and Larry Nolet.

 She is survived by five children, Judith Bono (Nash) of Mandeville, LA, Donna Cameron of Brunswick, MD, Susan Salisbury (Preston) of Gautier, MS, Robert McNemar (Sharon) of Gulfport, MS, and Danielle McNemar of Mandeville, LA; nine grandchildren, Ruth (Phil) Riddell, Lisa (John) Dawson, Eric (Amanda) Variz, Christopher (Hannah) Salisbury, Thomas Salisbury, Katherine (Hayden) Gates, James Salisbury, Samantha Salisbury and Christopher McNemar; five great grandchildren, Dylan Melancon, Logan Dawson, Freya Variz, Ava Salisbury and Scarlett Gates.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at St Mary’s Catholic Church at 11 AM with the visitation will be one hour prior. Committal and Inurnment will conclude at St. Joseph Abbey in Covington, LA at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Marie’s honor to EWIN (Eternal Word Television Network) 5817 Old Leeds Rd, Irondale, AL 35210-9768.
