Marisol Alba Rucci West

With great sorrow we announce on Saturday March 16, 2019 Mary (Marisol Alba Rucci West) passed away. She was a loving mother of Derrick West, Nydia West, and Mari West Ojeda.  Loving daughter of Arcadia Peña and loving sister of Carmen, Luis and Francisco Ojeda.

She was born on May 1, 1960 in Pennsylvania.  She once told someone that her name meant sun. It seems fitting because her life seemed to be filled with rain but in spite of the obstacles, she always seemed to shine bright.  Mary was a wonderful person who went out of her way to help those in need. She will truly be missed and her light will continue to shine in those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2019 at O'Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula from 1-2 pm with funeral service to follow in the chapel at 2 pm. She will be buried next to her father at Machpelah Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com
