Mary Ann Cintgran, passed away on Tuesday February 20, 2024 at the age of 89.
Mary Ann was born in Shelby, MS to Tillio and Ida Pettinari Avaltroni on April 27, 1934. She met and married Tony Cintgran and together they had three children, Teresa, Annette and Chris. Mary Ann was a life long Catholic serving in various capacities of the church. She invested heavily of her time and resources as Eucharistic Minister, Ladies Knights of Columbus, officer with St Vincent de Paul, choir member and visiting the sick and shut ins.
She had and outgoing personality saying, she never met a person she didn’t like. Every gathering was a reason to celebrate and have fun. Being an avid reader and highly intelligent Mary chose to live life with joy and gusto.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tony Cintgran; son, Chris Cintgran; granddaughter, Kirsten Higgs; siblings, Eileen Rocconi, Josephine Cannon, Paul Avaltroni and John Avaltroni.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Cintgran and Annette Higgs and her husband Joe; sister, Janie Hayes; grandchildren, Kate McDonald and her husband Brian, and Mikhail Cintgran; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 10am – 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville, MS with Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00. She will be inurned at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, MS. Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com.
