Mary-Margaret Miller passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 6, 2021 in Lucedale, MS. Mary-Margaret was born on July 20, 1994 in Gulfport, MS and was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pascagoula, MS. She attended school at Lusher Elementary and Jr High in New Orleans as well as Mandeville Elementary, Mandeville Jr. High and Mandeville High School, in Mandeville, LA. Mary-Margaret was a happy person whose smile would light up every room she entered and enjoyed caring for others. Her kind, gentle and loving manner created a special bond with her beloved grandmother Mimi. Her passion for life and those she loved was a powerful force. She was devoted to her faithful fur baby companion, Judge, enjoyed singing and dancing in the kitchen, and creating beautiful salt water aqua scapes—often working for months to perfect her Coral Reef art. Mary-Margaret evacuated from Mandeville, LA to Lucedale, MS on September 2, 2021 to escape Hurricane Ida. We never imagined that her final days would be spent as an evacuee, waiting for clearance to return home to Louisiana. Our hearts are shattered. She will be remembered for her love, the caring things she did, the many, many beautiful smiles she shared and lives she touched. Our dear Mary-Margaret, you left us too soon. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Birdie Mary Young Commiskey and Michael Joseph Commiskey Sr of MS and paternal grandparents Margaret Donahue Miller and Clyde Miller of LA. Mary-Margaret is survived by her loving family: mother, Peggy “Peg” Commiskey-Miller of Pineville, LA; father, Peter Michael Miller of Abita Springs, LA; her devoted life partner, Devyn Louis Manint of Mandeville, LA; brothers, Michael Donahue Miller of TX and Patrick Young Miller of Germany. She will be missed by all, including her many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers. Thank you for the support and special kindness of the Manint Family, Nila and Dylan Callahand, and the O’Bryant- O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula, MS. Memorial donations may be sent to your Local Animal Shelter and Hurricane Ida Relief. Services for Mary-Margaret will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula, MS. Fr. Everardo Mora-Torres (Fr. Lalo) officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:30 at the church with Mass following at 11:00.
