Mary Yvonne Taylor, 93, of Gautier, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on May 1, 1932, in Meridian, Mississippi, and was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Charles William “Bill” Taylor (2010).
Known for her extraordinary generosity, warmth, and open-hearted spirit, Yvonne had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her home was a place of hospitality where the door was never locked and friends and neighbors were always greeted with a warm smile and a seat at the kitchen table.
A dedicated servant-leader, Yvonne gave over 50 years to her community, serving as past President of the Gautier Garden Club and the Gautier Homemakers Club. She also served more than 32 years with the Jackson County Fair Association, where she chaired the Art Building, reflecting her lifelong passion for the arts.
She is survived by her two beloved daughters, Sheila Jane Huffman and Toni Yvette Eure; two cherished grandchildren, Lisa Danielle Andreotti and Tamara Yvonne Mattox; and two adorned great-grandchildren Michael Edward Andreotti and Summer Yvonne Mattox.
Her door was always open, her heart was always full, and her love will be forever remembered.
Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, 10:00-11:00am, at Gautier O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Chad Ball officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs, MS.
