Mavis J Phillips

Mavis Jean Phillips passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Gautier, MS at the age of 87.

Mavis was born on September 28. 1934 in Century, FL to C.C. and Sallie Rutherford. She was just a good ole gal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Emmons, Susie Nelson and Flossie Nelson. She is survived by a niece, Mickie Stokes of Gautier, and other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mavis passed away at River Chase Village surrounded by wonderful staff members that took great care of her for many years. Special thanks to Lisa Bishop whom she immediately bonded with when she first arrived at River Chase. She along with the other staff treated her like family and we are eternally grateful for your kindness.

 A Graveside Service will be Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Century, FL at 3:00pm.
