Michael Hosea Dunn passed away at his home on Friday, January 24, 2025 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Michael was born and raised in Jackson County. Born to Andrew Ellis Dunn Sr and Helen Marie Floore Dunn, Mikes's story began on September 8, 1948.
Mike was a self-employed car salesman and served six years in the Army National Guard. Those that love him the most describe him as having a big heart and a hard head, both attributes prominent in his daily life. He loved spending time on the water and fishing. You could always find him telling stories and jokes. He took great pride in being a grandfather, and loved to ride his grandchildren around on the lawnmower. Above all, gathering with family for sports games, shrimp boils, and giving car advice were his favorite pastimes. Mike's life is a testament to the memories that all who know him will cherish and share forever.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Ellis “Sonny” Dunn Jr and Roy Bennett Dunn; as well as his granddaughter, Kylie Marlana Dunn.
He is survived by five children; Kelly Michael Dunn (Marla) of Hurley, MS, Amy Torrey (Macy) of Waynesboro, MS, Ashley Beaugez (David) of Ocean Springs, MS, Matthew Pearce Dunn of Orlando, FL, and Morgan Zelenka (Reid) of Pascagoula, MS; two brothers Ralph Eugene Dunn of Long Beach, MS and Marc Timothy Dunn of New Orleans, LA; eleven grandchildren, Cooper Dunn, Chloe and Tucker White, Addison Torrey, Mackenzye Germany, Kennedy Jones, Aden, Tanner, and Dawson Beaugez, Collins and Teddy Zelenka; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home from 11:00am-1:00pm , the funeral will follow in the chapel at 1pm. Entombment will conclude at Jackson County Memorial Park.
