Mr. Billy Dean Franklin

Mr. Billy Dean Franklin age 77 of Helena, Ms passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 three days short of his "78th" birthday. He was born June 4, 1941 in Louisville, Ms to the late Charles and Lucille ( Lucas) Franklin, he had been a resident of Helena since 1958. Billy worked for Ingall's Shipbuilding as a burner for over 30 years. He was a hard worker and a friend to everyone he met. He attended Canaan Assembly of God Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

  In addition to his parents, Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his sister Iva Jean Harrell and his brother Prentice Franklin.

  Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Penny Lacy and her husband Dale of Honey Brook, Pa, Mary Anne Zid and her husband Robert of Newport,Tn; a step-daughter Hope Mullis of Tifton, Ga; his companion Ms. Sarah Jacobs of Helena, Ms; two brothers Joe Wayne Franklin and his wife Ann of Mathiston, Ms, sister Margaret Ann Wilson and her husband Jerry of Gautier, Ms; brother Allen Franklin and his wife Pat; four grandchildren Christopher, Brianne, Kaitlyn, and Matthew and six great grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Funeral services will be held immediately following in the chapel of O'Bryant- O'Keefe funeral home with Brother Rodney Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Serene Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital or one of your favorite children's charities. The pall bearers will be Dale Lacy, Robert Zid, Christopher Shepard, Matthew Eberz, Roger & Jeff Noe
