Muriel James Groue

Muriel James Groue,  passed away at the age of 89 on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Muriel was the last of four children born to Royal and Fatima Groue.  He arrived on December 28, 1935 in Biloxi, MS. He served his country in the United States Navy and worked in the nuclear division for Ingalls Shipbuilding for 18 years before retirement.  He was a faithful member of the Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast since 1976.  He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Lynn Groue and his three siblings.

He is survived by his children; Ron Groue (Sandy) of Latimer, Matt Groue (Pam) of Latimer, Becky Taylor of Latimer, Eric Groue (Amye) of Vancleave, Timmy Groue (Velma) of Biloxi, Sam Groue of Biloxi, and Julie Hebert (Jason) of Ocean Springs; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast at 3:00pm, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will conclude at Groue Family Cemetery.

 Serving as pallbearers will be River Groue, Ron Groue Jr., Tony Robertson, Justin Trigg, Micah Groue and Jason Herbert.
