Nick Dukes

Nick Braydon Dukes, 19, of Gautier, MS, went to eternal rest on February 15, 2025. Nick was a bright, compassionate young man who loved deeply and was loved just as fiercely in return. His kind heart, quick wit, and unwavering generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

To know Nick was truly to love him. His intelligence and warmth made him a cherished son, brother, and friend. He was always willing to help anyone in need, never hesitating to lend a hand or share a kind word. His presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, and his memory will continue to do so.

Nick is preceded in death by his beloved Mawmaw, Debbie Stewart.

He is survived and deeply missed by his loving parents, Mary and Jeremy Cothran, and Brandon and Crystal Dukes; his cherished siblings, Arianna Dukes, Wes Cothran, Wil Cothran, Walker Cothran, Linley Cothran, Bethel Vandee, Elsie Dukes, Dax Dukes, and Asher Dukes; and his dear grandparents, Bruce Stewart, Billy Dukes, Jr., Trisha Dukes, and Terri Palmer. He also leaves behind extended family members, friends, and all whose lives he touched with his kindness and love.

Though his time with us was far too short, Nick’s light will never fade. His kindness, love, and laughter will be carried in the hearts of those who knew him forever.

A celebration of Nick’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025  at 12noon, at Gautier O’Bryant – O’Keefe Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share the love he so freely gave. Interment will conclude at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale, AL.
