Joan Linder Smith, age 81, of Pascagoula passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 in Mobile, AL. She was the owner of Joan Treasure Hunt in Pascagoula. Joan was a song writer and county singer for a band called “Southern Komfort Band”. She enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband and especially Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her four sons, Paul, Karl “Bubba” Tucker, Johnny Smith and Tommy Smith.
Joan is survived by her husband of over 25 years, Don Whelan; five sons, Michael J. Tucker (Lavelva); Danny H. Smith, Ricky Smith, Randy Smith and David Smith (Lauren); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, 1:00-2:00pm, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eugene Eubanks officiating. Interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery, Pascagoula. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Daily Bread in her memory.
