Patricia Southern Stork, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a life devoted to faith, family, and kindness. She was born September 28, 1934, in Pascagoula and was a lifelong resident. A cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love that will carry on for generations. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker.
Patricia, the eldest daughter of Albert R. and Maybelle Southern, was raised in a home that valued hard work, devotion, and deep connection. She married the love of her life, Harley Stork Sr., in December 1952 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula. She lived a life marked by compassion, quiet strength, and the joy she found in caring for those around her. Her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother, roles she embraced with her whole heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harley Stork Sr., her precious daughter Regina Mae Stork, her parents Albert Robert and Maybelle Southern, her sister Alice (Doug) Thompson, her brothers Bobby (Louise) Southern, Milton Southern, and two infant great-grandsons, Landon and Dillon.
Patricia is survived by her loving children: daughters Debbie (Mike) Aycock of Ocean Springs, MS, and Beth (Randy) Bosarge of Ocean Springs, MS, sons Harley E. (Dinorah) Stork Jr. of Lucedale, MS, Ronald (JoAnn) Stork of Pascagoula, MS, Phillip (Peggy) Stork of Pascagoula, MS, and Darryl (Freda) Stork of Grand Bay, AL. She also raised her grandson Eric Pierce of Washington, DC as her own, giving him the same unconditional love and guidance she gave all her children.
She is also survived by her beloved sister and best friend Judy (David) Hester, her sweet sister-in-law Margaret Southern, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Patricia’s home was a place of warmth, comfort, and laughter. She loved her Catholic faith, found peace in her favorite hymns, and enjoyed watching The Waltons. Her smile could brighten a room, and her gentle heart touched everyone who knew her.
She was the heart of her family and will be deeply missed—but her love will live on in every story told, every tradition passed down, and every act of kindness inspired by her memory.
Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00pm with Fr. Francis K. Ward officiating.
