Patricia "Pat" Barnes Thompson

Patricia Maxine (Barnes) Thompson, born January 6, 1939 passed away on April 18, 2025 in Gulfport, MS. Her parents were Robert Benjamin Barnes and Bonnie Maxine (O’Neal) Barnes.  She was the wife of Gerald Rudolph Thompson who preceded her in death on February 16, 2020, one day after their 63rd wedding anniversary.  Also preceding her in death were her granddaughter, Karen Nicole Thompson, her brother, Kevin Bruce Barnes and her son, Benjamin Roy Thompson.

Patricia is survived by four children, Sandy (Doyle) Thompson, Tony (Silvana) Thompson, Tracie (Joey) Smith, and Jana (Greg) Watford and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Thompson.  She had 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Patricia was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the way she lived and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Burial service will be held on May 16, 2025 at 9 am at the Crestlawn Memorial Park located at 4111 Bienville Boulevard in Ocean Springs, MS. No wake or funeral service will be held
