Patrick Allen

Patrick (Pat) Allen, age 57, of Gautier MS died peacefully in his home on Tuesday September 26, 2023.  Pat succumbed to a long struggle with Congestive Heart Failure.  These past two years Pat was being evaluated on a regular basis at Vanderbilt University for heart transplantation.

     Pat is survived by his brothers William (Bill) Allen, Victor (Vic) Allen and partner of 25 years Manuel (Chuck) Costa, III.  He is predeceased by his parents Jean Allen, William (Doc) Allen Sr., and older sibling Michael (Mike) Allen.  Pat also leaves behind his two surviving Shih Tzus (Truman & Mabelene) whom he loved dearly.

      Pat served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Flatley.  He served one tour of duty and spoke fondly of his time in the Navy.  Pat obtained his bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Troy State University, half of a Masters in Social Services and worked in the Mental Health field for many years.  He subsequently worked as a cable technician and this past decade enjoyed working in the hospitality industry.

      Pat had a strong and committed faith and identified as a Christian.  To have known Pat, even if only for a short time, his Christian belief system was more than evident in his everyday actions and treatment of others.  Pat will be dearly missed by many friends and family. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, 10:00-11:30am, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Funeral Service will begin at 11:30am in the funeral home chapel. Committal service will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
