Patsy Habeeb

Patsy Ann Brown Habeeb, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Patsy was born on March 30, 1943, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, to Roscoe and Dellie Brown. She was the middle child of nine siblings, all of whom were raised in Heidelberg, Mississippi. Patsy later married Joseph Habeeb, and together they raised five children—three daughters and two sons.

She dedicated many years of her career to working as a Health Information Coder at Singing River Health System before retiring. Her deep faith was evident in her longtime dedication to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she found both purpose and community.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Habeeb, in 2012; and four of her siblings: Sue Brown Jeffus, Faye Brown Harrington, McClellan “Mac” Brown, and Ralph Brown.

She is survived by her five children: Leanne Habeeb and her husband, Richard Treloar, of Victoria, Australia; Anthony Habeeb of Jackson County, MS; Alisa Habeeb Williams of Lincoln County, MS; Cynthia Habeeb of Harrison County, MS; and Joseph Habeeb Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of Jackson County, MS. She is also survived by six beloved grandchildren—Rachel and Nicholas Treloar, Harrison and Raine Williams, and Josephine and Christian Habeeb—as well as four siblings: Bonnie Brown Lacey, Robert Brown, Linda Brown, and Mark Brown.

In accordance with her wishes, services will be private.
