Paul Eugene Daniels

Paul Eugene Daniels went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2022 with his loving wife, Beth and his daughter, Allison by his side. He left his earthly home and entered into the presence of God with a passing that could not have been less painful or more peaceful than it was. With his hand in hers he left behind a lifetime of memories and love that Beth will hold and treasure all the days of her life.

Paul was born in Laurel, Mississippi on March 23, 1952 to James Rodney and Jessie Mae Daniels. They were there to greet him as he entered into heaven, and that leaves us with great peace and comfort. He served his country in the United States Army from 1971-1974. He worked at the Chevron Refinery and in 2008 he retired after 30 years of service. He cherished the friendships he made while working there.

In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death  by his mother-in-law, Tishia Smith, father-in-law, Red Hughes; son-in-law, Justin Eiland; nephews, Phillip Hinkel and Wayne Daniels and a great niece, Katelyn Daniels.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beth Daniels; two sons, Vernon (Margaret) Daniels and Shane (Kim) Cornell and a daughter, Allison Eiland; grandsons, Justice Daniels, Cade Cornell, Cole Cornell, and Blake Cornell; his favorite granddaughter, Isabella Eiland. Paul is also survived by his brother James Rodney (Norma) Daniels Jr., sister, Deborah Daniels; sister-in-law, Kathy (Dustin) Thomas; nephew and niece, Alan Hinkel and Tina (Steve) Dix and numerous other relatives and friends. He leaves behind love and memories to all those who were blessed to be a part of his life, and what a blessing he was. And finally, he leaves behind his much loved, 1985 GMC truck that is truly a family treasure.  

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 1:00-3:00pm. The funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 3:00pm. Interment will conclude at Machpelah Cemetery with military honors. Serving as pallbearers will be Vernon Daniels, Shane Cornell, Cade Cornell, Cole Cornell, Blake Cornell and Justice Daniels.
