Paul Duffy Obituary

Paul Andrew Duffy, 28, was a beautiful, kindhearted soul, talented musician, a gifted writer, and a lover of books. He passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, the city that he loved. He died with his mother at his side. Paul was born to Sean and Kim Duffy of Gautier, Mississippi, on July 24, 1991. He will be greatly missed by his two younger brothers, Joseph Daniel Duffy and Noah Braden Duffy. Paul was a deeper thinker, a philosopher, and a spiritual seeker. He was a self-taught musician that could play a wide range of musical instruments, but the guitar was his favorite. He was also a talented singer. However, his real passion was literature, both reading and writing. He leaves behind a manuscript, numerous poems, and other miscellaneous prose.

Paul was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and namesake, Paul Daniel Duffy, and his beloved uncle, Charles Dwayne Seamster. In addition to his parents and brothers, Paul is survived by a family that loved him greatly, his grandparents, Dolores Duffy; Linda and Larry Blackmon; Charles and Pat Seamster; aunts and uncles, Paula and Sean Swan; Keith and Gina Duffy; Megan and Rick Addy; Scott Seamster; Michael and Jenny Blackmon; and Shannon and Jeff Blackwell; a host of cousins and extended family. In addition, he was blessed to be a part of the Long family that also loved him dearly. Paul will also be missed by his closest childhood friend, David Bergeron.
