Richard L. Jones II

Richard Leonard Jones II, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the age of 38.

Little Richard, as he was known was born September 28, 1982 in Memphis, TN to Richard and Faith Jones. He lived in Moss Point from 1996 until his death. He loved traveling and was a big brother to his sister and many, many cousins.  He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church, an MSU Bulldog and avid gamer. He worked as a safety officer for 5 years.  Our hearts are broken and shocked by his passing but we know we will see him again.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Leonard Jones; uncle, David Jones; grandparents, Adela and Samuel Raterta and Barbara Jeanne, and cousin, Boliver Ray Jones III.

He is survived by his mother Faith Jones of Moss Point; sister, Cassandra Jones Chapman and her husband, Brad Chapman, aunt and uncle, Susan and Boliver Ray Jones II, their daughter Elizabeth Jones Rhodes, aunt and uncle, Filonita and Samuel Raterta, their children Paco Raterta, Patrica Kaye Raterta Mislang (Justin), aunt, Adela Ethel Ging Raterta, her children Amparo and John Magallanes, Lago Raterta, Benjamin Raterta Ranada, and Yero Raterta Ranada, aunt and uncle, Lemuel and Ihryn Raterta and their son Zachary Raterta, and nephew, Theodore Luke Chapman all of Pascagoula, MS.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 20, 2021 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 10am-11am. The Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11am. Interment will conclude at Orange Grove Cemetery. The family requests mask be worn to the services.  Serving as pallbearers will be Gabe Posadas, Marlo Posadas, Brad Chapman, Kit Posadas, Brad Turner, Adam Nelson, Nate Peters, and Iago Raterta.  Condolences may be expressed online at www.obryantokeefe.com
