Richard Vaughan Obituary

Richard Russell Vaughan passed away at his home on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the age of 61.

Richard was born on November 17, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio to Oliver and Mary Vaughan.  He enjoyed playing football (defensive tackle) in high school and college.  He served in the United States Army and received his Jurus Doctorate from Mississippi College and B.A. from DePauw. Richard practiced law in Pascagoula and Gautier for many years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #419.   If there is one word to describe him it would be BIG! He was a big guy, with a big heart, big personality and a big laugh.  He had a huge sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh. He lived life to the fullest each and every day.

He is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Cheryl Vaughan of Pascagoula; a son, Michael Warren Vaughan and his wife Kelsie of Memphis, TN; brother Oliver W. Vaughan Jr. and his wife Judy of Biloxi, MS; a sister, Cynthia Ann Bishop and her husband Rob of Collinsville, OK, and his bird, Mandrake.

To honor his wishes there will be no public Memorial Service.  It was his wishes to be remembered, not with weeping and sadness, but rather to be with happiness.   So, make someone happy today in honor of Richard and know that he is somewhere smiling too.
