Rita LaNell Bosarge Hamilton

Rita LaNell “Nell” Bosarge-Hamilton, 93, of Grand Bay, Alabama, died Monday, December 21, 2021, at her residence. She was born March 15, 1928, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, raised her children in Grand Bay, and moved to Fairhope, Al in 2013. 

She could light up a room just with her smile and contagious laugh. She was never short on jokes and would make sure to find humor in every moment of our lives. Nell was an amazing artist and would paint on anything she could find. She dedicated her life to her children and family and lived every day to the fullest. She was a member of the Grand Bay First United Methodist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denson D. “Rip” Hamilton; parents, Morris Roy Sr. and Daisy Idell Bosarge; two brothers, Morris Roy and Leslie Delmar; and one sister, Georgia Elizabeth. 

Survived family members include daughter and son-in-law Susan Paige Sims (Stephen Paul), Fairhope, Al.; son and daughter-in-law, Denson D Hamilton, Jr. (Julie), Mobile, Al.; sisters, Lois Roberts and Brenda Divine (Earl); brothers, Robert Bosarge, Terry Bosarge (Patsy), and Joe Bosarge; five grandchildren, Paige Young (Nate), Shelli Young (Kyle), Payton Lacey (Stanley), Marissa Letson (Jacob), and Trey Hamilton, III; seven great grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved her endlessly. 

Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Monday, December, 27, 2021 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, Miss with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Grand Bay Cemetery, Grand Bay, AL.
