Robert "Bob" James Miller

Robert “Bob” James Miller, age 85, of Pascagoula passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. He was born February 23, 1936 in Jenkin Jones, West Virginia and has been a resident of Pascagoula since 1963. He graduated in 1954 from Octorara High School in Cochranville, Penn and enlisted into the U.S. Air Force.  He proudly served eight years during the Korean Conflict.  In 1999, Bob retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as an Electrical engineer after 35 years of employment. He was an active member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Alice Ann Richards Miller; parents, Vaughn and Viola Miller; brother, Wayne Miller; sister, Geraldine Schapansky.

He is survived by his four sons, Robert Keith Miller (Sherry), Pascagoula; Kevin James Miller, Ocean Springs; Jonathan Adam Miller (Megan), Nashville, TN; Joel Patrick Miller (Huong), Vacaville, CA; two sisters and two brothers, Barbara Johnson (Jerry), Stover, VT; Phyllis Woodruff (James) Oxford, PN; Richard Miller (Joyce), Palm Springs, CA; Kenneth Miller, Parkesburg, PN;  grandchildren, Kyle Miller (Kelci), Camryn Tomes (Will), Christian, Jack, Emma, Henry, Alexander, Sadie, Willow, Maddox, Sutton, and Brodie Miller; two great grandchildren, Vaughn Thomas Miller and Tatum Pierce Tomes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 6:00-8:00 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula with Rosary to be recited at 5:30pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 22, 2021, 11:00am, at Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula.  Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.  Memorials may be made in his memory to St. Vincent de Paul, 503 Convent Avenue, Pascagoula, MS 39567.
