Robert G. Poole

Robert Gregory Poole of Gautier, MS passed away on Friday May 12, 2023 at the age of 72.

Bob was born on February 9, 1951 to the late Marshall and Eula Poole in Illinois. His nickname was “Smiley” because he always had a smile to share. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge and loved old music and movies from the 50-60’s.  A yearly event that was a must was Cruisin the Coast. He enjoyed the classic cars and watching the people. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 41 years of service as Warehouse Supervisor.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna Poole of Gautier, MS; a daughter, Amy Poole Bishop (Russell DeLano) of Gautier, MS; a sister, Jodi Maddox (Lewis) of Pascagoula, MS; three grandchildren, Joseph E. Bishop Jr., Jacob A. Bishop and Jaime Bishop Powell (Thomas); great-grandchildren, Kaiden Bishop and Ollie Powell.
