Ronald Alton Terrell , age 67, tired and weary from the after affects of Covid , made it safely home on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
Ronnie was born on October 22, 1953 to Jesse and Margie Terrell in Nashville, TN. That exposure to music never left his being. He was a skilled musician of the acoustic and electric guitar truly in his element while picking and grinning. He married his wife Faye Fillingim in 1973, together they would be blessed with three children, Chris, Summer, and Johnny. He had a passion for young people involving himself heavily in youth sports shortly after they were married. Many years and memories revolved around with Dixie Youth Baseball in Gautier beginning in 1980. He had the unique ability to make every young person feel they were the most important person in the world and make their parents feel they had the best kids ever. He wasn’t merely involved with the youth, he invested in them. Ronnie was infectious with his love, his ability to never see a stranger only a friend he was meeting for the first time. He was family oriented, and yes, they were all involved at long evenings at the Bacot Ball Park.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Ray Terrell and Jesse Ray Terrell Jr.
He is survived by his wife Faye Terrell, children, Chris Terrell (Jessica) , Summer Terrell, and Johnny Terrell (Beverly) all of Gautier; siblings, Jeff Terrell (Sharon) of Mobile, AL and Sandra Boutwell (Ed) all of Mobile, AL; sister-in-law, Barbara Terrell of North Carolina Shores, NC; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He also leaves a host of other relatives, friends, and a generation of young men that were influenced by him.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, 5:00-8:00pm, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gautier. Funeral Service will be Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, 10:00am, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula.
