Roseann Bennett Simmons, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, care, and devotion to her family. Born on March 2, 1957, Roseann was raised in Kiln, Mississippi, and made her home in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where she had been a resident since 1996. She spent many dedicated years working at the Palace Casino before enjoying her retirement.
Roseann was known for her caring and loving nature. Her greatest passion in life was taking care of her family, always putting others before herself. She found joy in cooking and was well known for preparing delicious, home-cooked meals that brought everyone together. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and love.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Donald H. Simmons Jr.; her children, Tera Simmons Harris (Shane Harris) and Dell Simmons (Margo Baker Simmons); her cherished grandchildren, Skyler White, Alexis Simmons Thibodeaux, Christian White, McKenna Simmons Ryan, Alec Simmons, Shelby White, Braelyn Simmons, and Garrett Mixon; and nine great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Robert J. Bennett (Linda) and Carl Mailhes (Janie), and was preceded in death by her Father, Robert Odell Bennett, Mother, Florence Mirium Bennett, and brother, Robert O. Bennett Jr.
Roseann will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. Her warmth, strength, and selflessness will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her memory will live on through the love she gave so freely and the family she held so close.
Arrangements are being made for a Visitation and Memorial Service at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. The day and times will be announced here once completed.
