Jennifer Roxanne McLeod, age51, passed away from this life on February 22,2024 surrounded by her family.
Roxanne or “Sanne” as so many called her was born in Pascagoula, MS and was a life long resident of Moss Point, MS. She attended Moss Point High School and graduated with the class of 1991. She worked various jobs in her life but her favorite was working for her Mama and Daddy at McLeod Marine. There she excelled at managing the business and making sure her parents succeeded. In 1993 she had her one and only son, Nicholas Dalton Poole. Nicholas was her pride and joy and gave her four grandchildren with another one on the way, which she adored.
Roxanne was an avid fan of Rock and Roll and an adrenaline enthusiast. She was born to be a “Wylde Chyld” (as she always wrote it). She was always the Rock Star at every Party! She loved to joke around, loved hard, and laughed even harder. Roxanne enjoyed drawing and painting but more than anything, she loved being a Lola to her grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Julian Wilson McLeod Jr and Shara Gail Womble McLeod; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Marlene Womble and paternal grandparents, Julian Wilson “Bill” and Beverly McLeod.
She is survived by a son, Nicholas Dalton Poole (Sarah Schroeder) of Vine Grove, KY; sisters, Rachel McTaggart (Barry) of Pascagoula, MS and Shara McLeod of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Kairie, Annaleigh, Dean, Caleb and soon to be, Julian; dogs, Izzy and Gracie; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and the Ross family,
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Johnathan Hoover Memorial Scholarship which can be given at any Hancock-Whitney Bank or any other charitable organization close to your heart.
A Celebration of Life for Roxanne will be held at a later date, to be announced.
