Ruby H. Hudson, age 84, of Gautier passed away on Tuesday morning on April 14, 2020. She was born June 18, 1935 in Berlin, MD. She retired from Hancock Bank in Gautier after working in the bank industry for over 40 years. Ruby was a member of First Baptist Church in Gautier and Gautier Civitan Club. She enjoyed gardening, making bracelets and jewelry, traveling with the church friends, and most of all spending time with the children and grandchildren. She was a very proud Auburn Fan.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, O. “Hap” Henry; son, Ben Arthur Thames, Jr; parents, James Frank Hudson and Mary Ella Hudson; brother, James Frank Hudson, Jr.
She is survived by her two sons, James Stephen Thames, (Bernie), Denham Springs, LA; Mark Rollin Thames (Mary), Irvington, AL; two step sons and step daughter, Mark C. Henry and Matthew Guy (Shayral), both of Jacksonville, AR; Jennifer Henry Brooks (Faron), Magnolia, MS; her special friend, Tom Nelson, Gautier; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Due to the limited number allowed to attend public events during the COVID -19 regulations, the family will be having a Private service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church, First Baptist Church in Gautier. Family would like to acknowledge their appreciation to Hospice of Light for their loving support and care to the family and especially Mrs. Ruby.
