Shirley Shelton Ellett

Shirley Shelton Ellett, age 66, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Hattiesburg, MS.  She was born to Thelma and Charles Shelton on November 25, 1954 in Pascagoula.  She retired in 2016 from Mississippi Phosphates Corporation in Pascagoula after over 10 years as a Security Guard. She enjoyed photography, hunting, and spending quality time with her family. She is preceded in death by brother, James Shelton; 3 sisters, Sue Guillotte, Ava Jean Shelton, Charlotte Clark.

She is survived by her loving companion and husband of over 40 years, Kerry D. Ellett; three children Krystal (Gregory) Dufault, James McCall and Chasity (Keith) Mourning; 9 grandchildren Courtney McCall, Jay McCall, Haley Dufault, Shelby Thompson, Warren Dixon, Skylar Poole, Hannah Dufault, Joseph McCall and Landon Nelson, and 6 great grandchildren; sister, Kathy Keith (Donny); sister-in-law, Libbey Shelton.

Visitation for Mrs. Shirley will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula from 10:00am-11:00am.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home with interment to follow Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.   

Due to the concerns of COVID-19, family is requesting facial masks to be worn and social distancing.  Those not able to attend may watch the service live streamed on the funeral home’s facebook page beginning when the service starts at 11:00am.
