Stanley Warner Obituary

Stanley Eugene Warner, an extraordinary individual and beacon of inspiration, peacefully ascended to eternal rest at his Gautier residence, surrounded by his loving family on October 29th,2025.

Born on November 10, 1925, in Monroeville, New Jersey, he exemplified a life of purpose, passion, and dedication. A distinguished alumnus of Woodstown New Jersey High School, he embodied the essence of excellence. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 75 years, Dorothy G. Warner, his parents, Charles Rae Warner Sr. and Mable Eldertson Warner, two brothers, Charles Rae Warner Jr. and Gendon Warner, sister Doris Warner Engel, and a half-sister Mildred Wood. Stan's enduring legacy continues to inspire and uplift through his sister Marjorie Warner Pedrick (Tom Carn), two nieces, Eleanor Jean Sells, Gautier, MS, and Dorothy Lynette Childers (Vernon Childers), Edgefield, South Carolina, numerous great nieces, nephews, and friends and his beloved, loyal feisty dog, “Pimp”.

A decorated veteran, Stan enlisted in the US Army Air Corps during WW2 in 1943 and served honorably as a flight captain until 1947. After his military service, Mr. Warner had a distinguished 35-year career at Ingalls Shipbuilding as a piping Engineer. He was a devoted member of the United States Power Squadron, a national boating organization, and the Singing River Sail & Power Squadron, where he served two terms as squadron commander and Educational Officer. His leadership and dedication earned him the distinction of district 15 commander from 1993-1994, with 33 years of membership and service. He was a P/s+f/C of the United States Power Squadron. Stan and Dot shared a passion for Mardi Gras Carnival Association Balls and parades, and he was honored to serve as King Jolly V of the krewe of Tri Cities in 1970. Together, they delighted in working on carnival ball set decorating and parade floats. He also cherished helping his wife Dorothy with her Krewe Captain duties. An avid outdoorsman, Stan enjoyed fishing, shrimping, and restoring a 36ft wooden boat. A talented writer, he authored published novels and found joy in flying his simulated planes on his computer. As we bid farewell to this remarkable individual, we take comfort in knowing that his extraordinary life will continue to inspire generations to come. We celebrate your life, Uncle Stan, and the profound impact you had on all who knew you. May you rest in peace, reunited with your beloved wife, Dorothy.
