Stephen Huckaby

Stephen Huckaby passed away in Pascagoula, MS on October 15, 2024 at the age of 67. Stephen was born on August 16, 1957 in Pascagoula, MS to the late Billy Huckaby and Shirley Huckaby. It would be an understatement to say he loved working. He worked for the Pascagoula Police Reserve for 45 years, International Paper 26 years and Huntington Ingalls 17 years. He enjoyed competitive shooting, hunting and fishing. He served his community and family with honor and dignity.

He was preceded in death by his father and survived by his mother, Shirley Huckaby; his wife of 25 years Mara Huckaby; children, Dennis (Ashley) Wise and Christian Wise and fiancée, Brian; siblings, Jeff Huckaby, Lisa Huckaby and Teresa Burroughs (Tom); grandchildren, Elliott Wise, Emerson Wise, Sophie Buechner, Dalton Buechner and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2024 at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula from 11:00-12:30. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 12:30. Interment will conclude at Machpelah Cemetery with his brothers at PPD serving as pallbearers
