Steven Arthur Reyer, a longtime resident of Gautier, MS, passed away at his home on Friday,
February 7, 2026.
Known affectionately to many as "Mustache Steve"or "Yosemite"; Steve was born on August 20, 1951, in St. Paul, MN, to the late Robert and Betty Reyer. A proud veteran, Steve served in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard(Retired). He also dedicated 35 years to Ingalls Shipbuilding in the Electrical Engineering department, retiring in 2012. Steve was deeply committed to his community and his fellow veterans. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion Post 1992 in Gautier, and an active participant in the American Legion Riders. His passion for service also extended to the next generation, where he served as a Scout Leader. A true motorcycle enthusiast, Steve was known for his love of country, family, and the open road.
He is survived by his three children: Patrick C. Reyer and his wife Tanya, Jacqueline M. Weeks (Simon Philip), and Katherine Reyer. He also leaves behind his siblings, William Robert Reyer
(Dave Signor) and Lizabeth Lynn Reyer (Jim Harnagel); his grandchildren, Justin Weeks, Matthew Weeks (Jonilee), Nico Reyer, Dominique Vo (Denny), and D’Marco Reyer; and one
great-grandchild, Myles Weeks. He will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved American Legion and VFW families.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post 1992, located at 3824 Old Spanish Trail, Gautier, MS 39553.
