Tennille Donte Sellers Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in Austin,
Texas.
Tennille was born on October 25, 2000, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and graduated from Gautier
High School in 2019. He loved sports, especially football and baseball, and could always be
found either playing, watching, or talking about all kinds of sports. He also loved fishing.
Regardless of where he was at or what he was doing he enjoyed living his life to the fullest with
his family and friends.
Becoming a father brought him so much joy. His daughter, Georgia Rose Sellers, “Gigi,” was
born ten months ago, and from the beginning, she was his world. He leaned into fatherhood with
everything he had—protective, proud, and always showed up for her. Anyone who saw him with
Gigi saw how much he loved her. She brought out the softest and strongest parts of him.
Tennille was a big teddy bear. He had a gentle, generous heart and an easy way of making
people feel cared for. He showed love in simple, honest ways—through laughter, loyalty, and
always being there when you needed him. He could lift the mood in any room with just a grin or
a joke, and he had a way of making people feel like they mattered.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Robert Dutton. Tennille is survived by his companion and the mother of his child, Violet Garberoglio, and his beloved daughter, Georgia Rose Sellers of Austin, TX; his mother, Tonia Dutton of Gautier, MS; his father, Tennille Donte Sellers Sr. of Wiggins, MS; siblings Courtney Hyde, A’Yanna Tait, Devin Dutton of Gautier, MS, Keiara Simpson of Gautier, MS, Kevin Sellers, Devin Sellers of Hattiesburg, MS and Ohanna Sellers of Pascagoula, MS; paternal grandparents Kelvin and Barbara Patton of Pascagoula, MS; maternal grandmother Terri Dutton of Pascagoula, MS; and maternal great-grandmother Georgia Maureen Stringfellow of Gautier, MS.
While we could list so many names that loved Tennille so much, we want to bring together his
people that loved him and cherished him with a beautiful homecoming. This day will be in
remembrance of a young, strong soul who has departed from us all too soon, but will forever be
with us in spirit.
Join us for funeral service at Gautier O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday June 7, 2025 at 5pm with visitation one hour
