Terri W. (Willoughby) Scott

Mrs. Terri W. Scott, age 52, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Terri was born on June 25, 1966 to Harvey and Lois Willoughby in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She moved to Pascagoula when her father retired from the Navy in 1969.  She was a long-time member of Ingalls Avenue Baptist Church where her Faith in Christ began.  She graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1984 and from the University of South Alabama in 1991 earning a degree in Accounting.  She primarily worked as a financial accountant in healthcare.  She was the Controller for Mississippi Coast Endoscopy & Ambulatory Surgery Center and the Ocean Springs Surgical & Endoscopy Center for almost 15 years.  She was also the Financial Accountant for multiple surgery centers in Mississippi and Florida.  Terri was an avid tennis player and dedicated many hours volunteering to get I. G. Levy Tennis teams started.  She was voted 2012 Volunteer of the Year for the State of Mississippi and the Southern region by United States Tennis Association.  In 2001, she met her soul mate and after asking “him” to marry “her”, they wed in 2002.  She was a devoted wife and mother, never missing a dance recital or ballgame.  She loved her husband, her children, her mama and all her family very much.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Willoughby; her sister, Shirley Gamble-McRae; her grandparents, James and Bethel Willoughby, and Thomas C. and Eula Mae Bozeman; her nephew, Terry Logan; and closet friend, Delicia Presley. 

She is survived by her husband, Terry Scott, Jr., her mother, Lois M. Willoughby; her daughter, Brooxanne (Jacob) Stanford; her son, Brayden Harvey Scott; four step-children, Aaron (Minda) Scott, Jason Scott, Alison (Shaq) Graves, and Madison Scott; one sister, Diane (Don) Hutton of Findlay, OH; one brother, Jerry (Veronika) Willoughby of Fort Greely, AK; father-in-law, Terry (Dorothy) Scott, Sr.; one sister-in-law, Shirley (Dale) Brehm; one brother-in-law, Mike Scott; four step-grandchildren, Jessi Scott, Shaela Scott, Cypress Scott and Samuel Graves; two nieces, Lisa (Josh) Church, and Amber Willoughby; five nephews, Shawn Spears, Joe (Celia) Suhor, Michael (Kaysha) Gamble, Mark Logan, and CJ Willoughby; and a number of great and great-great nephews and nieces, Destiny, Kristen, Logan, Elizabeth, Tyler, Joey, Kolby, Braelynn, Evy, Calista, Jude and Scarlett; and two favorite uncles, David Scott and JW Scott as well as a host of many more relatives. 

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home with Bro. John Turner officiating.  Private interment will follow. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.  Those who desire may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.
