Terry Lee Winnett

Terry Lee Winnett, age 70, of Gautier passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born January 20, 1955 in Joplin, Missouri to William Harry Winnett and Shirley Mae Beeler Winnett and moved to Pascagoula in 1960.   

He graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1973 and received an Associate Degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (formerly Jackson County Community College). He was a Welder for Bollinger in Pascagoula (formerly Halter Marine) and computer instructor for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for a combined total of 49 years and retiring in March of 2024.

Terry married the love of his life, Deborah Buckley Winnett on September 3, 1976 and was an active member of Church of God in Pascagoula and Assembly of God for over 40 years. 

Terry and Deborah enjoyed traveling and spending time with each other, family members, church events, and working hard.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frederick Scott Winnett.  Terry is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah Buckley Winnett, Gautier; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis A. Winnett and Linda Jean Winnett, Dothan AL; sister-in-law, Susanne Winnett, Franklin, TN; 3 sisters-in-law and 8 brothers -in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and loving church family.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2025, 6:00-8:00pm at Three Rivers Assembly of God Church, 15910 MS- 63N in Moss Point (Three Rivers Community). 

Memorial Service will be Friday, March 14, 2025, 2:00pm, at Three Rivers Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Eugene Eubanks and Rev. Ben Buckley officiating.  Friends may visit from 1:00-2:00pm at the church. Graveside service will follow at Buckley Family Cemetery in Lucedale, MS with Rev. Randall Buckley officiating.
