Thomas Benton “Ben” Hollingsworth, 56, entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in Moss Point, MS. Ben was born in Pascagoula, MS on November 28, 1969.
Ben was a hardworking, devoted father whose strength and steady presence left a lasting impression on his three boys. Ben’s three boys were his greatest pride and his most treasured accomplishment. He showed his love through guidance, his sense of humor, and unwavering support throughout their lives. Ben always made sure his family was well taken care of and on the right track even though there were times of disagreement. These times always ended in forgiveness, understanding, and usually laughter- typically, from something he said or did. Ben built his career as a plant operator, but outside of work, he felt most at home in the outdoors. Whether it was hunting at sunrise or casting a line, he found his joy in the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were not just hobbies for Ben, they were traditions. Traditions that he was able to pass onto his children and grandchildren. Traditions that turned into teaching moments, life lessons, and simply
memories he was able to share with his family that will last a lifetime. With an infectious laughter and sense of humor, Ben’s memory will be carried on through the stories shared from family and friends. Whether he was your coach, co-worker, friend, or family member, there was always a memory or story to share when Ben was around. Ben’s legacy will be remembered through his children and grandchildren who he was affectionately known as “Pap.”
