Tian De Xie, age 87, of Gautier died on Thursday, June 12, 2025 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born January 20, 1938 in Guangdong, China and came to the United States with his family in 1982.
In 1986, he opened his family restaurant, Shanghai Chinese Restaurant in Gautier, and his family continues to provide the community with great Chinese food and Service to this day.
He is preceded in death by his father, Yu Quan Xie and mother, Sau Ying Lai.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Wai Ying Wong; two sons, Choi Chieh and John H. Chieh; two daughters, Kami Chieh and Choi Kwan Chieh; brother, Joe Chieh; 10 grandchildren.
Family invites friends to visit on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9:30-11:00am at the Gautier O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 3290 Ladnier Road, in Gautier.
Funeral Procession will leave the funeral home in Gautier at 11:00am to travel to Crestlawn Cemetery in Ocean Springs, MS.
