Traci Northrop Yadav

Traci Ann Northrop Yadav passed away at her home on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 52.

Traci was born on September 4, 1968 in New Orleans, LA, and adopted by John and Jackie Northrop.  As a child, she lived in Vancleave, and she loved to spend time outside riding her bike, playing basketball, rescuing pets, and sitting around a campfire. In junior college she won a beauty pageant at Perk; she was a Senior beauty.  She was on the student council, and she was a Perkette.  She was a University of South Alabama graduate.  She worked as a graphic artist for Ingalls Shipbuilding for over 20 years.  She was a dedicated employee, and she was great at and loved her job.  She participated in and organized running activities throughout the coast including The Azalea Trail Run, The Heart Walk, The Annual Ingalls 5k, and various running events throughout the coast.  

She was a health nut and loved helping others and her community.  She had a passion for art, and enjoyed life to the fullest.  She contributed to the design of monumental statues in memory of Hurricane Katrina.  She contributed to efforts of beautification all over Jackson County, including various murals and statues.   Traci was of the Catholic faith.

She was married to Paul Yadav, had two beautiful daughters, Gabrielle and Kimberly.  She was a wonderful mother.  She loved spending time with family.  She enjoyed long walks on the beach, gardening, throwing family BBQs, and taking care of her pets.  

She was loved by many, and she will be greatly missed.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by two daughters Gabby and Kimberly Yadav both of Pascagoula; 3 grandchildren, Shawn Yadav and Kiyaa and Kyran Lawrence; sister and brother-in-law, Pam Northrop Berdine (Darin); nephew, Evan Berdine; other loving family members, great friends, and special co-workers.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, 10:00am - 11:00, at O’Bryant-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eugene Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point.

Her service will be livestreamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page. For those attending the services, a mask will need to be worn and social distancing will be necessary.
